 The Current GM

CURRENT GM - Daniel Robittaile

 How I joined the FHL

I was one of the initial people to reply to Jon after his usenet
announcement in 1993. I think I tried to get the Habs as my first choice to Jon. But my 2nd choice was Detroit. Why Detroit? Simple: they had scored the most goals in 92-93 in the NHL so I figured it was a good way to start off the auction with the roster where the most NHL goals could be found.

Managed Detroit with mixed results until February 1998 when I quit the league due to some personal reasons. But by the time September 1998 came along, realized I really missed being part of the league, and I had a bit more free-time by then. At that point both Detroit and the expansion Nashville were available. Aaron could correct me, but I think I gave him the choice between the two, and he took the established team so I ended up with the expansion team. Managed Nashvile for a bit; won the Cup with that team, then decided that I should get the San Jose franchise to complement the fact that I'm a fan of the NHL Sharks (and I also I always hated the Predator team name).
